In the shadow of Operation “Roaring Lion,” Estonia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Margus Tsahkna, arrived with his wife for a visit and prayer at the Western Wall.
During his visit, the minister received an explanation about the significance of the Western Wall for the Jewish people as a place of prayer, hope, and longing throughout the generations. He was also thanked for his unequivocal support for the State of Israel, especially during this challenging period.
As part of the visit, the foreign minister toured the new “Gateway to Heaven” presentation, which recently opened to the public, wrote a personal note and placed it between the stones of the Wall, and concluded his visit by signing the guestbook: “Peace to the Holy Land on behalf of the Estonian people! History connects us and leads us into the future.”
