*Croatia’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense at the Western Wall: “At this historic site, I prayed for the people of Israel and the people of Croatia”*
As part of his official visit to Israel, Croatia’s deputy prime minister and minister of defense, Mr. Ivan Anušić, visited the Western Wall for a tour and prayer.
He was greeted by the rabbi of the Western Wall and the holy sites, Rabbi Shmuel Rabinowitz, who thanked him for Croatia’s support of Israel and for his visit – especially at this time, when our enemies are plotting to harm us – and blessed him to continue strengthening the close ties between the two countries.
During the visit, the Croatian minister joined the rabbi of the Western Wall in a prayer for the welfare of both nations, placed a personal note between the stones of the Wall, and signed the guest book: “At this historic site, I prayed for the people of Israel and the people of Croatia.”
