Hope and Consolation: The family of Ivri Dikshtein Hy”d drew strength before the stones of the Western Wall.

“And in Jerusalem, may you find comfort”: On the day they rose from the shiva for their son, the family of Ivri Dikshtein Hy”d, came to seek solace at the Western Wall.

This morning (Thursday), after completing the shiva for their beloved son, Lieutenant Ivri Dikshtein, of blessed memory, from Eli, a platoon commander in the 51st Battalion of the Golani Brigade, who fell in battle in southern Lebanon last week at the age of 21, his family went directly from his grave on Mount Herzl to the Western Wall Plaza. They were joined by Miriam, Ivri’s widow, for personal prayers near the Wall, followed by a tour of the Western Wall Tunnels.

Over the past year, dozens of bereaved families, families of hostages, and IDF wounded have visited the Western Wall to gain strength, hope, faith, and solace.

Watch the words of Col. (Res.) Ilan Dikshtein, Ivri’s father Hy”d, following their visit to the Western Wall.
