As part of his visit to Israel, today, the mayor of Antwerp, Mr. Bart De Wever, together with the Honorary Consul of Israel in Antwerp, Mr. Laurent Trau and leaders of the Jewish community in Antwerp, visited the Western Wall.
During his visit, the mayor received an explanation about the connection of the Jewish people to their capital and the yearning of the Jewish people for their capital throughout the generations.
The mayor said a prayer alongside the stones of the Western Wall and then toured the route of the Great Bridge in the Western Wall Tunnels, showing great interest in the history and archaeology of the site.
