Chairperson of the Senate of the Parliament of Kazakhstan Visits and Prays at the Western Wall
As part of his official visit to Israel, the Chairman of the Senate of Kazakhstan, Mäulen Äşimbaev, began his visit to Israel with a visit and prayer at the Western Wall.
He was received by the rabbi of the Western Wall and holy sites, Rabbi Shmuel Rabinowitz, who explained to him the significance of the holy site for the Jewish people and its historical importance throughout the generations. He also praised him for his contribution to the Jewish community in Kazakhstan.
The Chairperson emphasized that the purpose of his visit to Israel is to express the bridge between Jews and Muslims. He also shared that in his country, the Bible has been translated into the local language so that the locals can learn about the history of the Jewish people.
The Rabbi of the Western Wall accompanied him in prayer, and the Chairperson prayed for the strengthening of the friendship between the Jewish people and his country. He also placed a note between the stones of the Western Wall.
