2,000 students from Afula came to the Western Wall

Every year, many municipalities bring their bar/bat mitzvah-aged students to Jerusalem this way. This week, for the first time since the pandemic outbreak, more than 2,000 students from Afula came for an exciting visit to the Western Wall and Tunnels, initiated by the Western Wall Heritage Foundation, Yad Ben Zvi and the Afula municipality as part of the Foundation’s program to bring bar/bat mitzvah-aged youth for an experiential visit to Jerusalem and the Western Wall.

We are beyond thrilled to see the Plaza full again with groups coming to touch, experience, and learn about the Jewish nation’s chain of generations. Our excitement is nothing compared with the excitement and gratitude of the children and accompanying parents and educational staff.

This was a challenging year in which we yearned for routine, trips, and meetings. The most beautiful, exciting, and uplifting way to return to routine is to return to Jerusalem and to the Western Wall!
