During his first official visit to Israel since taking office, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade of North Macedonia, Mr. Timčo Mucunski, arrived for a visit and prayer at the Western Wall.
He was welcomed by the Rabbi of the Western Wall and Holy Places, Rabbi Shmuel Rabinowitz, who explained the history and significance of the Western Wall to the Jewish people throughout the generations. The Rabbi expressed his gratitude to the Minister for his support of the State of Israel and the Jewish people, as well as for the close cooperation between the two nations across various fields.
Together, the Rabbi of the Western Wall and the Foreign Minister offered a special prayer for peace between the countries and for the continued friendship of their peoples. Following the prayer, the Minister placed a personal note between the stones of the Western Wall and toured the new “Gateway to Heaven” exhibit, which recently opened to the public at the Western Wall and the Western Wall Tunnels sites.
*At the conclusion of the visit, the Foreign Minister of North Macedonia signed the guest book: “It is a great honor to be at the Western Wall. The significance of the city of Jerusalem for world civilization is of immense importance. Together with you, I pray for peace and prosperity for all our peoples.”*
