As part of his official visit to Israel, Togo’s foreign minister, Mr. Robert Dussey, arrived for a visit and prayer at the Western Wall.
He was received by Rabbi Shmuel Rabinowitz, rabbi of the Western Wall and Holy Sites, who thanked him for his repeated visits to Israel and to the Western Wall in Jerusalem, and blessed him to continue strengthening the close ties between the two countries.
During the visit, the foreign minister joined the rabbi of the Western Wall in a prayer for peace among the nations, wrote a personal note which he placed between the stones of the Wall, and signed the visitors’ book: “I pray for Israel – Togo prays for Israel.”
