As part of his official visit to Israel and his participation in the fight against antisemitism, the prime minister of Albania, Mr. Edi Rama, and his wife arrived this morning (Monday) for a visit and prayer at the Western Wall.
During their visit, the prime minister and his wife received an explanation about the significance of this sacred site for the Jewish people as a source of prayer and hope throughout the generations. He was also thanked for his unwavering support for the State of Israel and for the struggle against the growing antisemitism around the world.
The prime minister and his wife toured the new exhibition, “Gateway to Heaven,” which was recently opened to the public at the Western Wall. He wrote a personal note, which he placed between the stones of the Wall, and concluded the visit by signing the visitors’ book: “It is always a unique experience to stand before this Wall, and I wish that God, through this mighty Wall, will grant this city the strength of peace!”
