This evening (Monday), Prime Minister Mr. Benjamin Netanyahu and his wife, Mrs. Sara Netanyahu, together with the United States ambassador to Israel, Mr. Mike Huckabee, and his wife, arrived at the Western Wall to light the second Chanukah candle with the rabbi of the Western Wall and holy sites, Rabbi Shmuel Rabinowitz, and with the participation of IDF soldiers.
Prayers to the Western Wall from 140 countries: “For My House shall be called a house of prayer for all peoples.”
Ahead of Rosh Hashanah, in keeping with tradition: Prayer notes placed between the stones of the Western Wall over the past six months have been removed and transferred for ritual burial.
