U.S. Senator Dave McCormick at the Western Wall: “America’s support for Israel is stronger and more steadfast than ever.”
As part of his official visit to Israel, U.S. Senator Dave McCormick and his wife, Ms. Dina Habib Powell, arrived this morning (Tuesday) for a visit and prayer at the Western Wall.
They were received by the rabbi of the Western Wall and the holy sites, Rabbi Shmuel Rabinowitz, who spoke with the senator about the spiritual and historical significance of this sacred site—as a center of prayer, faith, and hope for the Jewish people throughout the generations. He expressed his gratitude to the senator for his steadfast support of Israel and for the consistent support of the United States for the State of Israel and the Jewish people.
During the visit, the senator was moved to encounter a group of young students celebrating their Siddur (prayer book) ceremony at the Western Wall Plaza.
At the conclusion of the visit, Senator McCormick stated: “The support of the United States—and my own—for Israel is stronger and more steadfast than ever. Especially in these times, having visited here in Israel shortly after October 7 with the outbreak of the war, I see the utmost importance in strengthening the bond and alliance between the U.S. and Israel.”
