Attention Visitors to the Western Wall:
Starting Wednesday, May 21, 2025 (23 Iyar 5785) through Wednesday, August 20, 2025 (26 Av 5785), significant changes are expected in the operation of the Jerusalem Light Rail due to infrastructure work in preparation for connecting the Green Line to the Red Line.
The affected areas include Jaffa Street, Ammunition Hill Station, Davidka Station, Shivtei Yisrael Station, and HaTurim Station.
As a result, the light rail service between Giv’at HaMivtar Station and the Central Station will be temporarily suspended. On the southern part of the line (Hadassah Ein Kerem – Central Station), the train will operate with only one car.
Alternative shuttle service will be provided by dedicated buses free of charge on the following routes:
Line 500: Giv’at HaMivtar – City Center (Davidka, King George St.)
Line 501: Ammunition Hill – Central Station
Line 502: Central Station – Shivtei Yisrael Station
Line 503: Giv’at HaMivtar – Shivtei Yisrael Station
In addition, existing bus lines from the areas of Pisgat Ze’ev, Neve Yaakov, Beit Hanina, Shuafat, and Gilo will be reinforced, with extended routes to the Central Station and the market area.
