Jerusalem Day, this year falling on June 5, 2024, is one of the special days in the Israeli calendar, marking the reunification of the city of Jerusalem after the Six-Day War in 1967. This year, we will celebrate the 57th Jerusalem Day under the theme “The People of Israel Live, United and Victorious!”.
Jerusalem Day Events
As every year, the traditional “Flag Dance” event will take place on Jerusalem Day, with thousands of participants from all over the country. The event includes a parade with singing and dancing through the gates of the Old City to the Western Wall, concluding with a main event at the Western Wall Plaza.
Schedule of Main Events
4:00pm – Gathering at Safra Square, dancing and flags.
4:30pm – Parade from Safra Square to the gates of the Old City, featuring the “Shirel” band.
6:00pm – Dancing in the city center and at the Western Wall.
7:00pm – Main assembly at the Western Wall Plaza with speeches and emotional singing.
