“And you shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as ornaments between your eyes.”

Every year, young boys celebrating their Bar Mitzvah and their families from the “Mahshad” community (Persian immigrants) in New York come to the Western Wall Plaza to celebrate the Bar Mitzvah ceremony together with the community leader in Israel and the Rabbi of the “Tiferet Raphael” community, Rabbi Shlomo Zivachi, may he be blessed.

The emotional ceremony takes place every year when the boys who celebrated their Bar Mitzvah in the past year come from New York to Israel to celebrate it at the Western Wall.

The boys put on tefillin and were very excited about the visit. At the end of the ceremony, they recited a heartfelt prayer for the success of the Jewish nation.
