In an emotional ceremony, the memorial candle was lit at the Western Wall Plaza in a state ceremony for fallen soldiers and victims of terror attacks, attended by President Isaac Herzog, Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, Chief of Staff Lieutenant General Hertzi Halevy, Rabbi of the Western Wall and Holy Sites, Rabbi Shmuel Rabinowitz, Minister of Economy and Industry Nir Barkat, US Ambassador to Israel Tom Nides, Jerusalem Mayor Moshe Leon, Chief Military Rabbi Brigadier General Eyal Karim, Shin Bet Director Ronen Bar, Mossad Director David Barnea, public figures and representatives of bereaved families.
