A delegation of nine Democratic senators led by Senator Chuck Schumer and US ambassador to Israel, Mr. Thomas Nides, visiting and praying at the Western Wall.
The delegation was greeted by the Rabbi of the Western Wall and Holy Sites, Rabbi Shmuel Rabinowitz. The rabbi explained the history and holiness of the site and recited a chapter of Psalms with them.
The delegation was greeted with sympathy by the many worshipers at the Western Wall who blessed the relationship between the United States and Israel.
