As part of MUNIEXPO2022 taking place now, about 80 mayors from around the world came for a special tour of Jerusalem and of the new Great Bridge tour of the Western Wall Tunnels this morning.
Among the participants were the mayor of Jerusalem, Moshe Lion; the borough president of Manhattan; the mayor of El Paso, Texas; local authority leaders from Greece, Poland, Albania, Kosovo, Romania, Austria, Croatia, South Africa, France, Georgia, Germany, Netherlands, and more. The group was greeted by the rabbi of the Western Wall and holy sites, Rabbi Shmuel Rabinowitz, and the director of the Western Wall Heritage Foundation, Mordechai (Suli) Eliav, who explained the importance of the sacred site and the connection of the Jewish nation to its capital.
Head of the Mossad Visits the Western Wall for the First Time Since Assuming Office: “The Strength of Israel Will Not Lie!”
Upon entering office, the newly appointed head of the Mossad, Major General Roman Gofman, visited the Western Wall this morning for prayer and reflection.
