Andrea Bocelli, the Italian operatic tenor, came for a visit to the the Wailing Wall in Jerusalem this morning with his wife and family members as part of his visit to Israel.
The singer was greeted by the rabbi of the Western Wall and holy sites, Rabbi Shmuel Rabinowitz, as well as by the director of the Western Wall Heritage Foundation, Mordechai (Suli) Eliav, who showed him findings from the Second Temple period that had been uncovered in the Western Wall Tunnels.
Throughout the visit, Mr. Bocelli remarked that he was very excited to be at this holy site and to be exposed to Jerusalem’s fascinating and impressive history.
