The minister of foreign affairs of Togo, Robert Dussey, prayed at length this morning at the Western Wall with the rabbi of the Western Wall and holy sites, Rabbi Shmuel Rabinowitz and with the director of the Western Wall Heritage Foundation, Mordechai (Suli) Eliav. He told them about the deep connection he feels for Jerusalem and for the State of Israel.
Prayers to the Western Wall from 140 countries: “For My House shall be called a house of prayer for all peoples.”
Ahead of Rosh Hashanah, in keeping with tradition: Prayer notes placed between the stones of the Western Wall over the past six months have been removed and transferred for ritual burial.
