US Vice President Mike Pence and his wife will visit the Western Wall on Tuesday, January 23. Attention should be paid to updates on access to the Western Wall. The visit will begin with a brief explanation about the Western Wall and its importance to the Jewish people, as well as the latest discoveries found on the site. Later, the Vice President and his wife will pray in front of the stones of the Western Wall. The visit will be on our Facebook page: Western Wall. The prayer areas will be closed from about 10:00 am until the end of the visit. The prayers will continue as usual in the Rabbi Getz synagogue and opposite the site of the Holy of Holies located in the Western Wall Tunnels. Starting at 11:00 am, some of the entrances to the Western Wall will be closed: the main entrance through the Dung Gate, The entrance to the Western Wall Heritage Foundation will be closed to visitors from the early hours of the morning, and it will not be allowed to enter the Western Wall from the morning, except for those who are allowed to enter the Western Wall. The Israel Police will reinforce the closures and do as much as possible to keep the order.
