Dedication of New Synagogue in the Western Wall Tunnels

Immediately following the festive Chanukah candle-lighting ceremony at the Western Wall Plaza, a new synagogue in the Western Wall Tunnels was dedicated.  The synagogue, donated by the Delek Group and by Mr. Yitzhak Tshuva and family, is located across the large stone adjacent to the site Opposite the Holy of Holies.  It is the culmination of twelve years of labor on support, construction, and archeology.  The unique design of the sanctuary, an integration of rare art and illumination, expresses the wonderful interweaving of old and new.  The Western Wall Heritage Foundation will soon be publishing the regulations for prayer at this synagogue.
