Prime Minister of Ukraine visited the Western Wall

The Prime Minister of Ukraine, Mr. Volodymyr Groysman, visited the Western Wall Plaza and the Western Wall Tunnels and was hosted by the Rabbi of the Western Wall, Rabbi Shmuel Rabinowitz, and the Director of the Western Wall Heritage Foundation, Mr. Mordechai (Suli) Eliav.
The Prime Minister, who is Jewish, was very moved by the visit, reciting a prayer and Psalms 121. After this, he tucked a note between the stones of the Wall.
The Prime Minister toured the Western Wall Tunnels and the archeological excavations uncovered this past year and was amazed at the historical treasures that reveals the Jewish nations rich history at this site. I tasted very little of our nations roots and hope to visit here again in the future, he said.
Among those receiving the Prime Minister was Rabbi Shmuel Kaminsky, the rabbi of Dnipropetrovsk, and Rabbi Moshe Hestman, the rabbi of Kiev. The Prime Minister was also accompanied by Ukraines Minister of Health and Minister of Culture, as well as the Israeli Ambassador to Ukraine and the Ukrainian Ambassador to Israel.

Interesting Facts

The Western Wall Plaza hosts approximately 60,000 people. It symbolizes the Jewish link to Jerusalem and serves as the synagogue closest to the remains of both Holy Temples.
The Western Wall's visible stones tell of its history from the time of the Holy Temples' ruin. The original Herodian stones are distinct from the others in size and in their unique borders.
The building style of "grading" used when layering the Western Wall's stones, teaches us that the Temple Mount's walls were not perpendicular but marginally sloping.
