Zambian President Edgar Lungu visited the Western Wall last week. During his visit, the President met with Rabbi Shmuel Rabinowitz, rabbi of the Western Wall and Holy Sites, and heard from him about the extensive history of the holy site. Later, President Lungu prayed at the stones of the Wall.
The President expressed his excitement about the visit and wrote in the guest book: I believe that G-d exists in each of us. We shall seek Him in everything we do. I pray that He blesses Zambia and the people of my country.

Prayers to the Western Wall from 140 countries: “For My House shall be called a house of prayer for all peoples.”
Ahead of Rosh Hashanah, in keeping with tradition: Prayer notes placed between the stones of the Western Wall over the past six months have been removed and transferred for ritual burial.
