Guatemalan President, Jimmy Morales, and his wife were greeted at the Western Wall by the Rabbi of the Western Wall and Holy Sites, Rabbi Shmuel Rabinowitz, who recited with them Chapter 121 of Psalms.
President Morales told him that this hymn is read by the Jewish people three times on Shabbat. The President was impressed by this new information and said that he would now make sure to read it three times a day himself.
Later, the President recited a prayer near the ancient stones of the Western Wall and placed a note between its layers. He expressed great excitement over the Jewish history at the site and said that he felt the special holiness that envelopes the Western Wall.
It is a real privilege to be here today, wrote President Morales in the Visitors Book, May G-d bless all of humanity which He created in great love and compassion.

Prayers to the Western Wall from 140 countries: “For My House shall be called a house of prayer for all peoples.”
Ahead of Rosh Hashanah, in keeping with tradition: Prayer notes placed between the stones of the Western Wall over the past six months have been removed and transferred for ritual burial.
