A new and beautiful bookcase was dedicated last night at the womens section of the Western Wall. The unique gold-framed bookcase was etched in stone in the back section of the Western Wall Plaza and contains four double units holding prayer siddurim in different nosachs and books of Psalms for the benefit of the worshipers.
The bookcases were initiated and implemented by the Western Wall Heritage Foundation and donated by Mr. Jacobo Cojab of Mexico. They will greatly benefit the women who pray at the Kotel who, until now, had to go to a small space to the right of the plaza in order to find a siddur.
The new bookcase is accessibly and user-friendly, protected from rain and sun by class doors which are easily pressed open and closed leaving all the siddurs and books of Tehillim (Psalms) within easy reach.
