As part of the International Trade Fair in Spain – Fitur 2021, the Spanish tourism board initiated sending notes to be placed in the Western Wall. The notes were tucked between the Wall’s stones by a representative of the tourism ministry who also asked for blessings for all those who wrote notes.
Prayers to the Western Wall from 140 countries: “For My House shall be called a house of prayer for all peoples.”
Ahead of Rosh Hashanah, in keeping with tradition: Prayer notes placed between the stones of the Western Wall over the past six months have been removed and transferred for ritual burial.
