It is the custom of the Sephardic communities to begin reciting Selichot (penitential prayers) from Rosh Chodesh Elul, which this year is from September 4, 2024, until the eve of Yom Kippur on October 11, 2024.

Paid Parking Lots:
- Safra Square Parking Lot – 7 Shivat Zion St.: Parking costs from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM are 24 NIS. For holders of the “Yerushalmi” card, the cost is only 10 NIS.
- Karta Parking Lot next to Jaffa Gate.
Public Transportation:
- Bus lines 1 and 3 from the Central Bus Station to the Western Wall will have increased service at night, starting from the first night of Selichot (September 4th). The service will end at 2:00 AM every day during this period.
- On weekends, bus lines 111 departing from Malha Parking Lot and 333 departing from Ramot Junction will also operate and be reinforced until late at night. Additionally, the light rail will increase service on Thursday nights and Saturday nights, with the final service ending at 2:45 AM.
- From September 29th to October 23rd (Simchat Torah), bus lines will operate throughout the night. In addition, on the evenings of Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur, the light rail will operate until 2:45 AM.
