The battalion that fought in Gaza arrived at the Western Wall to recite a Psalm of Thanksgiving.
In an emotional ceremony, soldiers from the Southern Command Battalion arrived at the Western Wall to recite the “Hagomel” blessing and the “Psalm of Thanksgiving” after fighting in the Gaza Strip against Hamas terrorists and coming out alive. Together, they prayed for the success of the IDF soldiers and security forces, and for the speedy and safe return of the captives.
The rabbi of the Western Wall and holy sites, Rabbi Shmuel Rabinowitz, said at the ceremony: “In this holy place, we pray for the future and express gratitude for the past. You are faithful messengers of the Holy One, blessed be He, to safeguard Israel, and you express the unity of the people of Israel.”
