Children of Ashkelon and Notes to the Western Wall

Just before summer vacation, the children of Ashkelon sent notes to the Western Wall.

For the fourth consecutive year, shortly before summer vacation, the children of Ashkelon collect notes from several schools in the city, as well as from the Barzilai Hospital in the city. They write their heartfelt wishes, go up to Jerusalem, place them in specially designed boxes made by the students, and tuck them among the ancient stones of the Western Wall.

The children arrived accompanied by the Deputy Mayor and teachers. Together with the Rabbi of the Western Wall and the holy places, Rabbi Shmuel Rabinowitz, they placed the notes between the stones of the Wall and offered a prayer for unity of the Jewish nation.
