As part of their visit to Israel, members of the United States Congress came to pray at the Western Wall.
The delegation, from various states, including Georgia, Michigan, Texas, North Carolina, and Tennessee, was greeted by the rabbi of the Western Wall and holy sites, Rabbi Shmuel Rabinowitz.
The rabbi explained the history and holiness of the site and recited a chapter of Psalms with them. Afterwards, the members of the delegation placed a note between the stones of the Western Wall and prayed for the welfare of the United States and for the strengthening of the relationship between the United States and Israel.
