Over 20,000 people came to the Western Wall Plaza for the 1st central Selichot service

Over 20,000 people came to the Western Wall Plaza throughout the night to say selichot, penitential prayers, with the peak being at this year’s first central selichot service at 12:30am.

The Western Wall Heritage Foundation: “We call upon the public to come say selichot earlier in the month, and not only in the last days of selichot, in order to spread the crowds and maintain the health and safety of all who come to the Western Wall.”
