About A Look into the Past

The Western Wall Heritage Foundation invites you to a join us for a unique and fascinating sensory experience – a virtual visit to the second Holy Temple, using ‘360’ technology. Travel back in time to a place that was the heart of the universe, the utmost in luxurious construction and beauty. Hear the singing of the Levites as you walk through the Holy Temple and see its glory.

The Second Temple was the holy pilgrimage site of the Jewish people.

It was also the cultural and spiritual center of the nation, having been spoken about reverently by the sages and by pilgrims from all over the world. The Temple was destroyed almost 2,000 years ago and since then has remained in ruins. However, it has had a continuous presence in the story of Jerusalem since then.
Now, using modern technology, the Western Wall Heritage Foundation invites you to take a virtual tour of the Temple. In this ground-breaking project which combines the talents of artists, researchers, animation experts and programmers, a computerized, 3D model of the Temple has been created with exceptional attention to every detail. Participants in the experience wear unique, headset-glasses that create a 360 degree field of vision, creating for them the sense that they are actually standing in the Temple itself, and seeing it as it looked 2,000 years ago.

Virtual reality technology is the last word in 3D interactivity.

The experience in 360 degrees, which surrounds the viewers and transports them to another place and time, creates a completely interactive experience.
The virtual visit is accompanied by narration, which is based on thorough research, and offers the participants another fascinating layer of understanding and learning about the glory days of ancient Jerusalem.
