Did you know?
On the Friday evening prior to the UN vote on the Balfour Declaration, Rabbi Eliyahu-Moshe Ganchovsky accompanied Rabbi Herzog on his walk to the remnant of our Temple, the Western Wall. It was the last visit to the Western Wall before the War of Independence.
In his memoirs, Rabbi Ganchovsky wrote about the holy atmosphere and the excitement that enveloped Rabbi Herzog: “He was burning with the wonderful emotion of the day that was approaching.”
