100,000 Students Celebrate Jerusalem Day with a Special Broadcast for All Elementary Schools in Israel
This morning, on the eve of Jerusalem Day, a special broadcast took place for elementary schools throughout the country in collaboration with the Ministry of Education. It included an online quiz with the participation of tens of thousands of students and a virtual tour of the Western Wall Tunnels, along with videos and accessible content for children about the city of Jerusalem and the Western Wall.
The broadcast was opened by the Rabbi of the Western Wall and holy sites, Rabbi Shmuel Rabinowitz, and the Minister of Education, Mr. Yoav Kish, who delivered emotional greetings and shared their personal family connection to the ancient city and Jerusalem.
After the broadcast, the Minister of Education, accompanied by the director of the Western Wall Heritage Foundation, Mordechai (Suli) Eliav, visited the newly revealed findings in the new “Great Bridge” route in the Western Wall Tunnels and met with Israeli students who had come up and marched to Jerusalem to celebrate this special day.
