The Western Wall invites you to three exciting events on Jerusalem Day – with flags, prayers, and live broadcasts from the beating heart of the nation.
Festive Evening Prayer and Unfurling of a Giant Israeli Flag
On Sunday night, the eve of the 28th of Iyar (May 25, 2025), at 7:30 PM, a festive maariv evening prayer will take place, during which a giant Israeli flag will be unfurled across the Western Wall Plaza, in the presence of the rabbi of the Western Wall and holy sites, Rabbi Shmuel Rabinowitz, and the mayor of Jerusalem, Mr. Moshe Lion.
The program includes: festive dancing led by Yishai Lapidot, Haim Israel and the orchestra, and cantorial music with Yitzchak Meir.
Festive Morning Prayer
On Monday morning (May 26, 2025), at 7:30 AM – a festive Shacharit prayer with thousands of participants, including students from hesder yeshivot across the country.
Main Jerusalem Day Ceremony – Flag Dance
At 7:00 PM, the main ceremony marking 58 years since the liberation of Jerusalem will begin, attended by rabbis, ministers, public figures, and the mayor of Jerusalem.
The theme of the event will be: “Raising the Flag – Flag Dance” – and will include a festive flag parade from Damascus Gate to the Western Wall Plaza.

The march will continue through the Dung Gate and on to the Western Wall Plaza,
accompanied by the Bnei Akiva Noar David Yeshiva Orchestra.
