Joe Lieberman, z”l

It is a great loss to the Jewish people! His actions will stand forever, and his good memory will not be forgotten. May his soul be bound up in the bond of life.

Joe (Yosef Yisrael) Lieberman, who was the first Orthodox Jewish senator in the history of the United States and was even a candidate for Vice President of the United States, passed away last night.

Joe sanctified the name of Heaven publicly and took pride in his Judaism. In recent years, he also wrote a book describing the greatness of the Sabbath for the Jewish people.

He visited the Western Wall many times as a senator and later, and was deeply connected to Jerusalem and the Western Wall.
He celebrated Passover in the year 2006 in Israel together with his family, and on the eve of the holiday, he came with all his family to pray and tour the Western Wall Tunnels.

It is a great loss to the Jewish people! His actions will stand forever, and his good memory will not be forgotten. May his soul be bound up in the bond of life.
