Today is the yahrzeit of Ha’ARI Hakadosh, Rabbi Isaac ben Shlomo Luria, a leading rabbi and Jewish mystic in the community of Safed in the 16th century.
It is said that Ha’ARI Hakadosh sent one of his students to pray and sense the Divine Presence at the Western Wall since the Divine Presence does not leave the Wall.
Today, as well, we pray that that G-d keep His promise to be at the Western Wall in Jerusalem.

Prayers to the Western Wall from 140 countries: “For My House shall be called a house of prayer for all peoples.”
Ahead of Rosh Hashanah, in keeping with tradition: Prayer notes placed between the stones of the Western Wall over the past six months have been removed and transferred for ritual burial.
